On January 27, at 12:00 pm, at the office of Athletics Federation (Address: Tsereteli 95 a) was signed the most important memorandum of understanding, which will be primarily directed for the development of athletics in the country’s regions.
Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Athletics Federation, the city hall of Kutaisi, the European Athletics Association and the Balkan Athletics Association which foresees the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Kutaisi Stadium, that gives opportunity to create corresponding environment for development of athletics and organize different international and local events as well.
The memorandum of Understanding was signed by the President of the Athletics Federation Aleksi Akhvlediani, The Deputy Mayor of Kutaisi Municipality Mr. Nodar Mikiashvili, the First Vice President of European Athletics Association and the President of Balkan Athletics Association Mr. Dobromir Karamarinov. Mr Dobromir is sure, the reconstruction of the stadium will allow to host different international events of European Athletics and Balkan Athletics in Kutaisi.
