From October 23 to 25, 2025, Batumi hosted the largest and most significant corporate event of the European Athletics
From October 23 to 25, 2025, Batumi hosted the largest and most significant corporate event of the European Athletics, which included the European Athletics Congress, Convention, and the annual Golden Tracks. The event was attended by the President and Council members of European Athletics, the Presidents and Secretaries General of 49 European Athletics countries, guests of honor from World and European athletics, and successful athletes.
On 22-23 October, the European Athletics Council meetings were held, during which the venues for several international competitions were decided.
On October 24, workshops were held throughout the day for participants on various topics, including athletics for all, sustainable development and its importance in sport, particularly in athletics, good governance, and more. At the end of the day, a rehearsal of the European Athletics Congress was held, and presentations of candidates for membership in the European Athletics Council were organized.
On October 25, the European Athletics Congress summarized the work process of athletics over the past two years, elected one council member, and selected the host city of the next congress.
On October 25, one of the most significant events of the corporate event was held - the gala award ceremony, titled "Golden Tracks." The event was attended by approximately 300 guests, including some of the most successful and renowned European athletes. The European Athletics Athlete of the Year, Female and Male, as well as the Rising Star Female and Male, were announced. In addition to awarding successful athletes, European Athletics presented awards to representatives of coaches, referees, and other distinguished individuals affiliated with the organization. The first vice-president of the federation, Vasil Berishvili, as well as our distinguished coaches Marina Kotrikadze and Zigmund Zilberstein, were awarded from Georgia.
The Rising Star Athletes of the Year were: Audrey WERRO (Switzerland) and Hubert TROŚCIANKA (Poland). As for the Best Female and Male Athletes, the awards were received by Femke Bol (Netherlands) and Armand (Mondo) Duplantis (Sweden).
The event was held with the support and cooperation of the Ministry of Sports of Georgia and the National Olympic Committee of Georgia. In addition, the official presenter of the European Athletics Congress, Convention and Gala Awards was "Coca-Cola Bottlers Georgia". The sponsor was Ambassador Island Batumi.
