On December 1, 2016, at 12 pm, at Athletics Palace the tenth election congress of Georgian Athletics Federation was held. The new president Aleksi Akhvlediani was unanimously elected. The first vice-president Vasil Berishvili and vice-president Leo Gugeshashvili had also been elected. The General Secretary of the Georgian Athletics Federation will be Aleksandre Japaridze.
